The screen on my TD12 started to fail some time ago. I looked into a replacement but was put off by the cost, around £300 at the time. When the screen finally gave out completely and I could no longer use the kit I had no choice but to replace it. I found Love Drums online and was pleasantly surprised to find a replacement screen for £135. A few days later it arrived and about 40 mins after the new screen was installed and working beautifully. I found the install very easy, I did need to cut a notch in the metal plate, which was easily done with a Dremel. I did need to adjust the contrast as described in the instructions. A great piece of kit and easy to do yourself.

Worth mentioning just for reference that the notch you cut isn't needed on every unit, it only affects a minority of TD-12's (and not TD-20's at all) where the metal plate design varied slightly during some of the production run. Most installs are even more straightforward than yours.

Fitted my new screen and fits like a glove….great to be able to see what’s on the screen on my Roland TD-20 again. Fast shipping but thought the postage was a bit high….so far, happy all is working perfectly.

First reaction at switch on after the procedure was disappointment.
Screen appeared a bit grainy with a few unwelcome lines.
However, in settings you can change the contrast.
Instohappy.
Device defaults to a contrast setting that is less than suitable.

Just to flag for anyone else reading, each display ships with a note that explicitly covers the contrast adjustment, including simple step-by-step instructions. The contrast adjustment should only need to be done once, the default contrast level is actually set by the module itself, not the display, so if it needs adjusting every time the module is switched on, that's often a sign the backup battery may need replacing or another module issue, rather than anything specific to the screen. Happy to help talk through that if it becomes a recurring issue.

parfaite communication avec le vendeur. Colis rapidement envoyé et livré en France. Petit problème (mais très vite résolu) : la douane demandait des frais. Love drum les a immédiatement pris en charge suite à ma demande, tout est nickel. L'écran fonctionne parfaitement, il est identique à celui d'origine et il n'y a pas besoin de bricoler pour l'adapter. Ma batterie va vivre une seconde vie, merci !!!!

Hola me llamo Jesus Lopez y soy de Valencia - España, quería decir a toda esa gente que tenga problemas con estas pantallas que se pueden arreglan gracias a esta empresa que me costo encontrar, yo ya tenia la esperanza perdida ya que llame a Roland España y a varios servicios técnicos y no me dieron solución ninguna, ademas de no tratarme bien. Atreves de un contacto hice un pedido a Love Drums sin conocerlos y sin poder hablar con ellos ya que yo no me aclaraba, deposite todo mi confianza en esta empresa pero con pocas esperanzas, cual fue mi sorpresa que el pedido empezó a marchar y yo a ver su seguimiento, mi esperanza comenzaba a fluir, al los pocos dias me escribieron preocupándose por el pedido para que todo marchase bien todo iva correcto, ellos siempre estuvieron ayudando por que tube un poco de lio en aduanas, pero siempre ellos preocupándose que les doy mi enhorabuena, y en unos dias llegó, ahi les dejo unas imagenes de como estaba y como a quedado, mejor que cuando la compre, de mi parte muchísimas gracias sin vosotros el modulo ya no me valia para nada, mil Gracias.
